"WARMA down, Nijmegen to go!"
  A huge congratulations goes out to the seven 360 (Llwchwr) Squadron cadets that took part in the RAF Cosford WARMA Marches 2008. Know to be one of the toughest cadet activities going, all of our cadets finnished the march and came home with medals and a pin for thier brassard. They will now continue training for Nijmegen 4 day marches 2008 in August. Any cadets interested in taking part in 2009 should see Corporal Merriman for details.

 

" Double Success for 360 at Inter-Squadron Athletics 2008"
 

Congratulations to all the cadets that took part in the Inter-Squadron Athletics Trials for 2008 on 20th April. We did excellently concidering 7 of our Senior cadets were taking part in RAF Cosford WARMA on the same day but still gained 3rd Overall Best Squadron. Imagine what we might have achieved if more cadets had participated!

Congratulations to Cadets Jason Young and Thomas Shervil who were selected to represent 3 Welsh Wing in the Wing Team on May 18th.

 

"360 Win 1st place in Aircraft Recognition Competition 2008 "
  Cadets Alfei, Lloyd & Icdt Harvey represented 360 (Llwchwr) Squadron at the 3 Welsh Wing Field Training Day 2008 and achieved 1st place in the Aircraft Recognition Compeition. Congratulations boys and lets hope you continue to build on your knowledge and that we can win next year too!

 

"Cadet Winder is runner-up for 3 Welsh Wing Modelling Competition"
  Cadet Claire Winder came runner up in the 3 Welsh Wing Field Day 2008 Aircraft Modelling Competition. This is the first time that Claire had entered the competition and did excellently for her first time. More Photos to follow.

 

"Best Cadet for March 2008"
  Congratulations to Cadet Samuel Collins for achieveing Cadet Of The Month for March 2008. Sam pipped Ricky Merriman & Stuart Sandy to the post after all three boys devoted half of thier easter holidays off school to help deliver Llwchwr Town Council leaflets. This is the 2nd time Sam has won Cadet of the month and shows a promising cadet career ahead of him as he only joined the squadron 6 months ago!

 

"Budding JNCO's pass course with flying colours "
  360 held thier first JNCO course of 2008 with 12 cadets taking part. Sections of the course included, leadership techniques/practical, drill techniques/practical and a uniform inspection by the Squadrons AWO Thomas. The cadets finnished the course with a formal interview, and now feel that they are ready to become the next 360 (Llwchwr) Squadron corporals.

 

"Presentation Evening 06/07 a success!"
 

360 held thier 2006/2007 presentation eveing with style on Wednesday 26th March. A small band display was held to open the evening with awards presented by Wing staff officers and Mayors of Loughor & Gorseinon Town Council's. Staff, parents & cadets also enjoyed a video produced by Isgt Seddon and buffet to end a great night.

"Double Shooting Success for 360 "
  Congratulations to cadets David O'Brien & Ashley Harvey for representing the ATC and No 3 Welsh Wing in the Whistler Junior Inter-Service Competition. Both cadets shot excellently with David scoring 189/200 & Ashley scoring 174/200. Well Done boys!!

 

"Lord Leiutenant's Poppy Appeal Awards 2007 "
 

South Wales Police Unit Endevour Trophy

The squadron has been honoured once again by being presented with the South Wales Police Unit Endevour Trophy. The Award was presented by Assistant Chief Constable Dave Morris to Corporal George on behalf of the squadron.

 

"Chief Fire Officer Award for Cadet Lewis"
 

Chief Fire Officer Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade Award for Individual Endevour

Congratulations to Cadet Hannah Lewis for Winning the Chief Fire Officer Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade Award for Individual Endevour West Glamourgan Counties The Lord Leutenants Poppy Appeal Competition 2007. Hannah spent every night & weekend collection for the RBL Poppy Appeal. The Award was presented by Deputy Chief Fire Officer Richard Smith. Well Done Hannah!

 

" 360 is the Best Squadron in 3 Welsh Wing Again!"
  360 (llwchwr) Squadron has been awarded "Best Squadron in 3 Welsh Wing " for the second year running! Huge congratulations to Cadets & Staff who have helped to Win this amazing award! Cadets Lucy Winder & James Alfei were presented the trophy on behalf of the Squadron at the 3 Welsh Wing Presentation Evening 2008.

 

" Cadet Sandy awarded at 3 Welsh Wing Presentation Evening 2008"
  Congratulations to Cadet Rhiannon Sandy who was awarded the Warrant Officer Brian Wilmer ATC Memorial Trophy for Most Improved Cadet during the Air Cadet Music Camp 2008. Rhiannon beat 46 other cadets from all over Britain to win this award by improving throughout the week long camp. Rhiannon was awarded a framed momento of her achievement at the 3 Welsh Wing Presentation Evening 2008.

 

"Cadets have a ball with Ammanford Squadron"
 

Cadets from 360 & 7 other squadrons attended 2475 (Ammanford) Squadron's first Annual Ball held at the Mountain Gate Hotel on Saturday 8th March 2008.
A very enjoyable time was had by all and best wishes to Flight Lieutenant Ann Anderson who is about to stand down as Squadron Commander because of her imminant move to Chester.

"Best Cadet for February 2008"
  Congratulations to Cadet James Alfei for achieveing Cadet Of The Month for February 2008. This is the 1st time James has won COTM for 2008, but he won it 4 times in 2007! Keep up the good work James, and im sure we will see a lot more of you in COTM for 2008!

 

"Best Cadet for January 2008"
 

Congratulations to Cadet Lucy Winder for achieveing Cadet Of The Month for January 2008. Lucy is a very active member of the squadron, who competes in all the sporting activities and has very high uniform inspection results. Keep up the good work Lucy!


 

"Top Music Award for 360 Cadet"

Congratulations to Cadet Rhiannon Sandy for being the only Welsh cadet to achieve a place at Air Cadet Music Camp 2008 at RAF College Cranwell.

Rhiannon was one of 46 cadets chosen to attend the coveted Music camp and throughly enjoyed her time there, where she made loads of friends.

Rhiannon plays the Basoon and is working towards her Grade 5. She also plays the bass drum for the squadron and wing bands.

Rhiannon was awarded the Warrant Officer Brian Wilmer ATC Memorial Trophy for the cadet who developed her music skills the most during the week.
