14 Cadets pass Youth First Aid |
Congratulations to the 11 cadets who have passed thier Youth First Aid Assessment with flying colours.
They are: Cpl Collins, Cpl Thornhill, Cdt Martin, Cdt Adams, Cdt Young, Cdt Smith, Cdt Gibbins, Cdt Chong, Cdt Finney, Cdt Evans &, Cdt S Thomas.

Welcome Air Commodore Barbara Cooper |
360 would like to announce the new Commandant Air Cadets Air Commodore Barbara Cooper. Air Commodore Cooper has made history by becomming the first ever female Commandant Air Cadets. She has taken over from Air Commodore Ian Stewart (also pictured) who has been posted to NATO.

Squadron Camp 2010 |
360 held thier 2010 Squadron Camp on 28th - 30th May. Activities included DVD night, Mountain Biking, Archery, Jam Session, Kayaking & Camping.

360 represent 3 Welsh Wing at Inter-Wing Athletics |
A very hot day (27*) was had by all at the Inter-Wing Athletics Championships 2010. Made up of the best cadets from 3 Welsh Wing, the team included Sergeant Osian Frobisher, Corporal Samuel Collins & Cadet Scott Smith all from 360 squadron. Congrtulations to all three boys and in particular Corporal Collins who was awarded a Silver Medal for the long jump.

Outdoor Initiative Excerise Fun - May 2010 |
On Friday 21st May 360 cadets had one of thier most enjoyable nights so far. During the warm evening cadets were taught military manouvers, teamwork, leadership and had great fun overcoming the various tasks set to them by the squadron's adult NCO's. These monthly evenings are proving very popular with our cadets, especially when they leave very wet and muddy!

Promotion to Corporal for Cadet Thornhill - May 2010 |
A huge squadron congratulations goes to Danielle Thornhill who is now a corporal.
Danielle transfered to our squadron and has been a great addition to our cadet team. As well as excellent leadership qualities and great communication skills we just know she will be an asset to our JNCO team also.

360 Awarded for outstanding Community Service |
360 (Llwchwr) Squadron has had the honour of being awarded with a trophy for "Outstanding Community Service" by Gorseinon Town Council 2010.
The cadets & staff have spend many hours helping out Gorseinon Town Council with events and activities such as Gorseinon's first ever food festival for which a team of our hardworking cadets organised the visitors parking on the very, very busy day.

Trumpeters Badge for Cadet Young |
Congratulations to Cadet Joel Young for being awarded the third Trumpeter's badge currently on the squadron. Cadet Young met the requirement's needed to obtain the badge and we hope that he continues to improve as he is a vital member of our squadron band.

Triple success at Athletics |
Congratulations to the following cadets for being chosen to represent 3 Welsh Wing at Inter-Wing Atheltics.
The cadets chosen were Sgt Osian Frobisher, Cpl Samuel Collins & Cadet Scott Smith. Well done boys!! Best of luck for the next stage.

Porthcawl Lions Open Day |
360 band were once again out this bank holiday weekend performing at the Porthcawl Lions open day 2010.
Amoung other things there was a funfair, stalls and an air display featuring the Red Arrows. The weather was great and the band performed excellently as always.

Bids for Capel Curig Adventure Training Camp 2010 |
Bids are now being taken for 2010's Adventure Training Camp in Capel Curig, North Wales. This is a combined 3 Welsh Wing camp that organised in August of every year which last 7 days. This years dates are August 7th - 14th.
An impressive range of activities are organised for Caple Curig amoungst them Hill Walking, Kayaking, Archery, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking and White Water Rafting.
Applications are open for cadets 14+ years old and should be given to the Commanding Officer.

Promotion to Flight Sergeant for Sergeant Matthew Beers - April 2010 |
Instructor Sergeant Matthew Beers was tonight promoted to Instructor Flight Sergeant. Matthew is now the senior NCO of the squadron and leads a great example to the new cadets. Some his many achievements include representing the Wing at Rugby, x-Country and Football, Staff Lanyard & an Indoor Climbing Wall Instructor.

Promotion to Sergeant for Corporal Osian Frobisher- April 2010 |
A well deserved promotion was given to Instructor Corporal Osian Frobisher tonight for his dedication and commitment to our squadron. Osian has been a cadet for 6 years and is a vital part of our squadron with many roles such as Tip Trumpeter. Whilst Osian is currently studying in University he still continues to parade regularly and attend many events.

Mayoress Presents Mountain Bikes |
Former Mayoress of Gorseinon Town Council Councillor Janet Curtice presented six mountain bikes and equipment that was donated to 360 Squadron, one of the mayors charities from 2009, Councillor Curtice also presented five BTEC Public Services Certificates. Pictured is the Fomer Mayoress and some of 360's cadets recieving the mountain bikes.

Promotion to Corporal for Cadet Samuel Collins - March 2010 |
A huge squadron congratulations goes to Samuel Collins who is now a corporal. Sam has been one of the pillars of 360 squadron since he joined and has won the Cadet of the month award a massive 9 times. Sam is Tip Drummer for the band, has excellent attendance and this promotion was very well deserved.
