3 Welsh Wing cadets and staff had a strong presence at the 2011 Wales International Airshow, Swansea this year. The airshow was again incredible this year with an excellent turnout from the general public due to the beautiful weather and exciting displays on offer.
360 squadron cadets & staff took on the important role of recruiting new cadets into our organisation and had a good reception. Hopefully we will see a lot of new faces in 3 Welsh Wing soon. More photograph's here
Gliding 636 VGS - 18th June 2011
On the morning of Saturday June 18th cadets from 360 Squadron had a great day out gliding at 636 VGS Swansea Airport.
Amoungst the cadets were Cadet Khaled & Cadet Elliot who experienced gliding for the first time. More photographs here
Senior Classification Passes - June 2011
Congratulations to Sergeant Lucy Winder, Sergeant Ricky Merriman, Corporal Dylan Bryant & Corporal Rhys Mathias for all passing thier Senior Classification Exams.
They are now entitled to wear the Senior badge on thier brassards.
Congratulations to Cadet Sophie Davies and Cadet Tom Francis for all passing thier Leading Classification Exams. They are now entitled to wear the Leading badge on thier brassards.
Four cadets from 360 squadron - Sergeant Sam Collins, Sergeant Ricky Merriman, Corporal Dylan Bryant & Corporal Rhys Mathias completed a Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award practice walk on 5th July.
They walked roughly 6.4 miles in the Brecon Beacons and climbed 400 meters in total. They also visited the vampire crash site on the west face of Fan Hir.
